BSP MP's kin held for bid to rape two girls

MUZAFFARNAGAR/LUCKNOW: Two relatives of BSP MP Kadir Rana were arrested in Lucknow on Friday in connection with the alleged attempt to rape two Delhi girls.

“Shazaib and Saddam were arrested in the city around 9 p.m. while they were attempting to flee. We conducted raids on their houses after a court issued arrest warrants against them. A car worth Rs.70 lakh, which was used to abduct the girls, was also seized during the raids,” Superintendent of Police (City) K.B. Singh told journalists.

They would be produced before a court on Saturday, he said. — PTI
