Discussion on sexual harassment deferred

MYSORE: The Syndicate meeting of the University of Mysore desisted from discussing the final report on the sexual harassment of a Ph. D. scholar by her guide, which was investigated by the Complaint Committee Against Sexual Harassment, here on Friday.

Syndicate members said the issue was being probed by various committees and the State human rights commission, and hence any discussion might influence the investigation.

Hence they decided that any discussion be deferred till the inquiries were completed. A five-member panel headed by K. Yashodhara has submitted a report.
