‘Scope for better management professionals'

KANHANGAD: With India's economy fast growing, the country requires professionals well versed in better management practices to sustain the growth, said Union Minister of State for Power K.C. Venugopal here on Friday.

There is immense potential for good management professionals in the backdrop of India witnessing rapid economic growth that has transformed the country into a global business force, Mr. Venugopal said at a function to formally open an international management seminar – ‘Diksha-2011'.

Mr. Venugopal was speaking on ‘managing new India – potential issues and present developments' as part of a three-day seminar hosted by the Kannur University Centre for MBA here.

For long, India had been a major destination for Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) business.

Survey

However, recent surveys showed that such ventures were facing increased competition from Latin American nations, Eastern Europe, and other Asian countries.
