Permission to Posco opposed

Chittoor: All India Anganwadi and Helpers Federation has criticised the Prime Minister for giving permission to Posco Company for establishment of Iron Ore industries at Govindapuram Village of Jagatsingpur district in Orissa inspite of lack of environmental permission and stiff opposition by the farmers.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday general secretary of the federation Vijaya Lakshmi said that 6,500 acres were acquired forcefully from the farmers for this purpose. The CPI would undertake an agitation till the government drops the project. She charged the Central government with several scams such as 2G Spectrum. She also criticised the State government for giving the mid day meal scheme to the ISCKON temple which was indulging in malpractices.
