Haryana records highest daily power supply

CHANDIGARH: Haryana recorded the highest daily power supply of 1,288 lakh units on Thursday, an official spokesman of Power Utilities said here on Friday.

He said there had been a “considerably high contribution from the State's own generating plants to the daily availability as all the 12 thermal units at Panipat, Yamunanagar and Hisar were running”. Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam and Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam supplied power for about 23 hours to the urban domestic consumers and 22.18 hours to the industries on Thursday as against the schedule of 20 hours and 16 hours respectively.
