Summer fete on Kalvarayan Hills in July
VILLUPURAM: Summer festival will be held on Kalvarayan Hills in July and the dates would be finalised soon, according to Collector C.T. Manimekalai.
She was addressing an official meeting here on Thursday to discuss the arrangements to be made for the fete.
The Collector said that as a special attraction for tourists, the Forest Department has been directed to run joy boat ride in the waterbody near the Periyar falls. Arches would be erected on ghat roads and colourful buntings would welcome visitors to the fete. Healthy baby competition, kolam competition, police dog squad's exploits, and debate would also be held.
