THANJAVUR: Cadre of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) led by G.Ramakrishnan, state secretary, staged a demonstration here protesting the hike in diesel, kerosene and cooking gas prices which came into effect from midnight on Friday. Mr.Ramakrishnan said that the hike in fuel price will affect the common man. He said that the petrol prices have been hiked seven times in the past. G.Neelamegam, district secretary, CPI (M); Senthilkumar, town secretary, CPI (M) participated.
