Demand to fill vacancies
Staff Reporter
Tiruvannamalai: Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Engineer's Sangam has urged the authorities to fill technical assistant posts lying vacant in the Board.
A resolution was adopted at the general body meeting of its Tiruvannamalai branch convened here recently.
The association also demanded that salary for the technical assistants be fixed on a par with employees of government departments.
Another resolution demanded promotion for staff who served the Board for about 15 years as junior engineers.
“Engineers of the TNEB may be fixed salary according to the recommendations of a one-man commission,” a resolution said.
Branch president of the association A. Arunachalam presided over the meeting. State president G. Muralikrishnan and zonal secretary V. Jothi were present.
Mr. Arunachalam was re-elected as president and C. Chandrasekaran, secretary of the branch.
