Plea to set up medical college in Kasaragod

KASARAGOD: The District Development Committee has urged the State government to take steps to set up the medical college proposed in the district under the Central University of Kerala (CUK).

The demand was reiterated in a resolution at a district committee meeting here in the light of apprehensions over alleged attempts to shift the proposed facility outside the district, an official release here said. The matter, raised by P.B. Abdul Razak, MLA, Manjeshwaram, was seconded by E. Chandrasekharan at a meeting presided over by District Collector K.N. Sathish here on Saturday.
