Bangalore: The former AICC member T.D.R. Harishchandra, who has petitioned President Pratibha Patil against two Union Ministers, has received support of the former Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha S. Mallikarjunaiah. Some time ago, Mr. Harishchandra had called on the President and requested that action be initiated against Minister for External Affairs S.M. Krishna (a former Governor of Maharashtra) and Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Vilasrao Deshmukh (a former Chief Minister of Maharashtra) on the ground that their negligence resulted in the terrorist attack in Mumbai in November 2008. The President had forwarded the petition to the Union Government. Mr. Mallikarjunaiah pointed out that despite the petition being sent across to the Union Government about a year ago no action had been initiated.
