Napkin vending machines to be set up at schools

Staff Reporter

Kozhikode: District panchayat president Kanathil Jameela has informed that napkin vending machines will be set up at schools in the district for the convenience of girl students. The decision was made at an administrative committee meeting held at the district panchayat on Saturday.

The committee decided to build toilets along the Ghat road to Wayanad with the help of District Sanitation Mission and also to build toilets immediately in schools that do not have toilets.

Contractors who did not complete the road works on time will be fined and blacklisted.

The committee decided that the report submitted by the executive engineer on the collapse of schools building at Mavoor was not satisfactory and demanded a fresh report. It ordered the District Medical Officer, community, and primary health centre officers to initiate measures to check epidemics during the monsoon season.
