Couple found murdered

KADAPA: The alleged murder of an elderly couple in their house in Sriramulupet Proddatur town about four days ago came to light on Friday night, when the police broke open the main door and found the bodies in a pool of blood on being alerted by the neighbours who complained of unbearable stench emanating from the house.

Srinivasulu (58), who owned Vastrabharathi, a cloth showroom, was found dead in the room on the first floor of his house and his wife Govindamma (55), was found dead in a room on the ground floor, according to the police. The couple's only daughter who lives in Dhone in Kurnool district, was informed about the double murder by the police.
