Kerala triumphs

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala won the D.V. Subba Rao Trophy inter-State cricket tournament at Anantapur on Saturday.

Kerala took the first innings lead after dismissing Madhya Pradesh for 214. Anthaf (four for 67) did the star turn for Kerala on the final day with a lively spell.

Madhya Pradesh collapsed from 142 for five to 214 in just 18 overs on the last day. The match was called off after the MP innings.

The scores: Kerala 376 in 136 overs drew with Madhya Pradesh 214 in 59.4 overs (Anthaf four for 67) .
