e-deck promises better quality of construction

HYDERABAD: Paschal Form Work (India), a joint venture company of Paschal Werk G.Maier GmbH-Germany and NCC Limited-India, on Friday launched e-deck, a slab formwork that promises to reduce construction time and improve quality of construction. A panel slab formwork, e-deck has a frame of profiled steel with a height of 7.5 cm and surface of 12 mm thick birch plywood of nine layers. It has an advantage over flex-formwork as the panels are protected by durable steel frame and as the panels are attached to one another, they come with built-in safety.

The product offers the facility of on-site installation by hand and damage to the frame can be absorbed by the e-deck much better in comparison to aluminium frames. Given its light weight, e-deck comes with features such as quick stripping that makes it possible for reuse of panels in short period. Speaking to presspersons, Udo Vetter, chairman, Paschal India, said the product has been designed for Indian conditions and the facility set up here has an annual production capacity of 50,000 square metre of walls and 15,000 square metre of centering. Directors of Paschal Formwork (India), Barbara R.Vetter and V.Radhakrishna, A. Ramakrishna, Director, International Infrastructure Consultants were present.
