Central Instrumentation Lab inaugurated

HYDERABAD: The Central Instrumentation Lab at the Central Facilities for R&D was inaugurated by S.R. Rao, Adviser, Department Of Biotechnology (DBT), here on Saturday.

According to a press release, the lab has been established with sophisticated instruments for the conduct of advanced practicals for P.G. students under DBT-ISLARE project. The DBT has sanctioned Rs.13.50 crore to Osmania University to carry out research in frontier areas of Life Sciences and promote quality of teaching under the Interdisciplinary School of Life Sciences for Advance Research and Education. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rao said that with these facilities the university would be able to carry on advanced research in various disciplines of Life Sciences.
