BELLARY: The Kuditini cement plant of ACC Ltd. on Saturday launched “Jeevan Path”, a programme under its corporate social responsibility programme to teach unemployed youths to drive. Umesh Pratap, director of the plant, who inaugurated the driving classes, said that the programme was aimed at helping unemployed youth earn a livelihood. Initially, the company had selected 10 persons for the programme, which would be increased to 100 persons in the next six months. The possibility of providing some youths with jobs in the company would be explored, he added. Many senior officials of the company were present.
