MANGALORE: Even as the killer waves swallowed up three youths on the Tannirbavi beach on Thursday, there was a fourth member in the group who had a lucky escape after being saved by his friends. A group of seven friends had gone to the Tannirbavi beach on the fateful day to spend time together. After playing closer to the shore for sometime, they decided to have some fun in the deeper waters. After a while three of them came out, but the remaining four could not hold back their adrenaline rush. Within seconds the four were caught in a huge wave which made them toss around. “I heard the scream of Nithesh (21) and rushed to his rescue,” said Dhanush, one of the seven in the group. Dhanush also managed to pull Nithesh out.
