Applications for admission to hostels

TIRUCHI: Applications have been invited for admissions to the 51 student hostels and 29 residential schools in the district for SC and ST. Students of standards IV to XII, UG courses, are eligible. Candidates admitted to the hostels are entitled to free boarding and lodging and two sets of uniforms every year. SSLC and Plus Two students would be offered career guidance. Students of classes IV to SSLC would be given free books and notebooks.

The annual income of the parents of the candidates should be less than Rs.1 lakh. The place of residence should be at least five km away from the hostel . However, this rule will not be applicable for girls. Applications can be obtained free from the office of the Adi Dravida Welfare Officer at the Collectorate . Filled-in applications should be submitted to the wardens of the hostels .
