Taxi drivers stage stir

Namakkal: A demonstration staged by owners and taxi drivers in Tiruchengode – condemning the assault of their association president – brought movement of vehicles to a stand still near the Tiruchengode bus stand for an hour on Saturday.

Members staged a demo seeking action on the miscreants and blocked the road near the Tiruchengode Bus Stand.

The blockade was lifted after officials promised action.
