THRISSUR: The BJP has alleged that the Food and Civil Supplies Minister and the District Congress Committee are protecting a Congress block president who is an accused in a case related to the diversion of PDS wheat into the black market. Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, BJP district president B. Gopalakrishnan said the police had not taken action against the Congress block president though his involvement was clearly stated in the FIR of the case.
