Books donated to school

MADURAI: The Central Secretariat Library under the Union Ministry of Culture has donated 640 books for the Corporation school.

In a statement, the Corporation Commissioner, S. Sebastine said that books were given to the library of the Pandian Nedunchezhian High School. This library has a facility to accommodate 100 students.

The Corporation Deputy Commissioner, K. Tharpagaraj, Chief Engineer, K. Sakthivel, Chief Educational Engineer, C. Vaidhyanathan and Librarian, K. Kangadurga.

Water supply in the city through the overhead tanks in Vaigai northern bank and southern bank and in HMS Colony, Sundarajapuram and Villapuram would be suspended on Sunday, owing to maintenance work.
