UTF seeks regular pay for teachers

ADILABAD: The Andhra Pradesh United Teachers Federation (UTF) on Saturday demanded that regular pay scales be sanctioned for the 2008 DSC appointed teachers scrapping G.O. No: 55 with regard to rationalisation of teacher posts.

The organisation has decided to launch a final struggle to realise its demands.

Hunger strike

UTF State general secretary I. Venkateswara Rao, State secretary Chava Ravi, district president C. Swamy Reddy, general secretary A. Venkati, and secretary P. Lachiram told reporters that mass hunger strike would be staged at the mandal headquarters by the 2008 DSC teachers across the State on June 27, June 28 and June 29. This will be followed by a mass hunger strike at the district Collectorates on July 4 and a .similar protest at Indira Park in Hyderabad on July 6.
