NEW DELHI: Leading global provider of payment solutions, Ingenico International India Pvt. Ltd., has announced collaboration with Financial Inclusion Network and Operations (FINO) to help them deliver payment solutions under micro-finance schemes and the much talked about Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGS). The project would enable FINO to use the services of ‘bandhus' or agents to reach out to the country's rural and far-flung regions to carry out secure financial transactions for multiple banks, State and Central Government social development schemes and micro-finance agencies with the help of Ingenico's hand-held bio-metric POS terminals. Over 25,000 Ingenico Biometric terminals have been deployed by FINO so far. The deployment of terminals will continue this year as well. FINO provides turn-key technological solutions to institutions such as banks, insurance companies, government social schemes, micro-finance institutions and corporate enterprises, enabling them to take their products and services to the doorsteps of millions of unbanked and under-banked households across India. To make financial inclusion a reality, FINO relies on Ingenico's technology for authentication and authorisation of business correspondent and customers .
