TIRUPATTUR: The body of a 31-year-old man was found floating on a lake in Yelagiri Hills on Sunday morning. According to police, Rajkumar, a resident of Sakthi Nagar at Tirupattur, had come to the Athanavoor boat house in the hills a few days ago. He had informed his mother and said that he would return. However, he did not return home following which his family lodged a complaint at the Tirupattur town police station. A case of man missing was registered. The family also approached the Yelagiri Hills police. The police personnel launched a search for him and looked around the boat house. Rajkumar's clothes, footwear and cell phone were found in the boat house. On June 25, fire service personnel were roped in and they searched the lake from morning till evening. But they could not trace Rajkumar. However, the body was found floating on the lake during the early hours of Sunday. The body was recovered and sent to the government hospital at Tirupattur. Police said Rajkumar was working in the railways in Chennai. He could have jumped into the lake for bathing. A case of suspicious death has been registered, police said.
