Minister, Collector stung by honey bees

Tiruvannamalai: Food Minister Agri S.S.Krishnamurthi, District Collector Anshul Mishra and scores of officials were stung by honey bees while they were crossing a bridge across Kamandala Naganadhi in Keel Shenbagathoppu village near Polur on Sunday.
After inaugurating full-time/part-time ration shops in Polur taluk, the Minister and the Collector were proceeding to Keel Shenbagathoppu to review road work when they were chased and stung by the bees.
Second such incident
in two months
This is second such incident in Tiruvannamalai district in two months.
In the earlier incident occurred on April 30, the then collector, M. Rajendran, came under the bee attack while he was travelling on a boat in the Sathanur Reservoir.
