Frayed tempers:A police official pacifying the Telangana student JAC leaders who obstructed the YSR Congress Party meeting in Karimnagar on Sunday. KARIMNAGAR: Mild tension prevailed when the student JAC leaders and YSR Congress Party activists entered into an argument over the separate Telangana issue during the opening of the YSR Congress Party office in Karimnagar on Sunday. Telangana student JAC leaders led by Siddam Venu, E. Ravinder Reddy Tirupathi Naik and others went to Vavilalapalli area where the YSR Congress Party leaders inaugurated the party office. When the YSR Congress activists were conducting meeting, the Telangana JAC leaders rushed towards the office and obstructed the proceedings. At this juncture, there was mild tussle between the JAC and YSR party activists amid slogans of “Jai Telangna”. The YSR party district president Makhan Singh Thakur pacified the JAC leaders by stating that their party would take a decision on Telangana issue during the party's plenary meeting scheduled to be held on July 7 and 8.
