Award for police constable

COIMBATORE: Police Commissioner Amaresh Pujari rewarded a police personnel who saved the life of a man by preventing him to commit suicide at the collectorate on Friday. According to sources, Ranganathan, an armed reserve policeman, was posted on duty at the collectorate. P. Selva Kumar (36) of Kanuvai who entered the collectorate had a knife on his person with an intention to kill himself, if he failed to get an employment.

Ranganathan who was on duty, prevented to do so and handed over to Race Course police station.
