Women throng Mega Shoppe that has come up in the K.S. Vyas Complex on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Vijayawada on Sunday. VIJAYAWADA: Cashing in on the growing penchant for comfort and luxury products, distributors of electronic and home appliances are having a field day, ensnaring target customers to rely on their products that are convenient to use and save time. The Mega Shoppe inaugurated in the K.S. Vyas Complex on Mahatma Gandhi Road on Sunday is an addition in the teeming local market of electronic gadgets and home appliances. Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu inaugurated the complex while MLA Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao lighted the traditional jyothi. General Manager of Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. P.V. Murahari Rao opened the LCD/LED section, regional head of LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. Nobendu Bhattacharjee inaugurated the appliances wing and regional head of Voltas Limited B. Prasad Reddy opened the AC section. Showroom proprietors M.V. Srinivasa Rao, M. Umamaheswara Rao and G. Koti Prasad said appliances such as dish washers, LED 3D TV, LCD TV, plasma TV, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, microwave ovens, home theatres and DVD players from top companies like LG, Samsung, Voltas, Panasonic, Sony and Whirlpool were available. They said being local distributors of LG, Samsung and Voltas companies, they would sell the products at reasonable price. Apart from being located at the heart of the city, a vast car parking area and personal attention to every buyer were other attractions. Stating that buyers could pay money in instalments, they said they would also introduce various schemes in the days to come. Car accessories Close on the heels of this opening function followed yet another inaugural in the same complex. Deputy Commissioner of Police M. Ravindhranadh, inaugurated Phoenix, a car accessories showroom at the complex. Showroom managing partner N. Suresh said car accessories like alloy wheels, wheel caps, car grilles, tail lights and different types of seats and covers would be available here.
