State should provide quality education, says APTF leader

Staff Reporter

SRIKAKULAM: Andhra Pradesh Teachers' Federation senior leader M.V. Krishnaiah on Sunday alleged that corporate institutions were looting public money in the name of providing quality education to children.

He asked the government to take steps to strengthen government schools instead of enabling concept schools to earn crores of rupees.

Centenary fete

While speaking at the centenary celebrations of Singaraju Ramakirshnaiah, a well known academician, in APTF office, Mr. Krishnaiah said teachers should join hands together to protect the government schools in the State as the government was least bothered to support them.

Services recalled

APTF district president Ch. Atchuta Rao, general secretary K. Bhanumurthy and other leaders recalled the contributions of Ramakrishnaiah for the quality education through government schools.
