Policeman assaulted in Satara

Kolhapur: Three motorcycle-borne miscreants beat up a traffic police in Satara after being stopped for violating traffic rules.

The three rushed into a road in violation of the ‘no entry' rule at Satara on Saturday. When the traffic police on duty, Shreedhar Shelar, stopped them he was assaulted. Two of the three ran away while Suhas Jankar, one of them, was caught by the police. Four days ago a police constable, Balu Mudhe, was allegedly beaten up by Solanki.
