Porters plan protest march

Karwar: The hamalis (porters) who are working in rice mills, the warehouses of Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee and Food Corporation of India,will hold a “Bangalore Chalo” on June 28, under the aegis of CITU.

The union is protesting against the policies of the central government, said Yamuna Gaonkar, general secretary of Uttara Kannada.
