‘Flawed policies to blame'

Thrissur: The UDF government succumbed to the pressure of the Inter-Church Council, CPI(M) state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan has said.

At a function at Manalur, near here, on Sunday Mr. Vijayan accused the UDF Government of collusion with the Inter-Church Council so that the council could have all the seats in the self-financing medical colleges. Flawed policies of the UDF government had pushed the higher education sectors into chaos, he said. The UDF had gone out of the way to support the Inter-Church Council, he alleged. The LDF would launch a strong agitation to protect social justice in the professional education sector, he said.
