Noble aim:District Collector M. Karunakaran leading a rally taken out in the city on Sunday to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. — COIMBATORE: District Collector M. Karunakaran flagged off an awareness rally to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in the city on Sunday. Around 500 school and college students carrying banners and placards depicting the ill-effects of drug participated in the rally. The rally, which started from the Collectorate, was led by Mr. Karunakaran and ended at VOC Park. A. Kasi Viswanathan, Deputy Commissioner (Excise), and teachers participated in the rally.
