Copies of land records available for nominal fee
Voters list can be accessed through touch screen

COIMBATORE: Minister for Special Programme Implementation S.P. Velumani on Saturday inaugurated touch screen facilities in the Coimbatore North and South taluk offices at a cost of Rs.1.50 lakh each.
The Minister said that people can now get detailed information on deeds, certificates, government welfare schemes, guideline value of land, land details, old age pension scheme and voters list through the touch screen facility.
He added that a copy of land records can be obtained by paying a nominal fee to the person in charge of the touch screen.
District Collector M. Karunakaran, District Revenue Officer A. Shanmugasundaram, and Kavundampalayam MLA V.C. Arukutty participated.
Mr.Velumani on Sunday inaugurated the renovation of the bridge at Chithirai Chavadi on the Narasambadi sub canal undertaken at a cost of Rs.19 lakh.
Of the Rs.19 lakh, a sum of Rs.7 lakh has been sanctioned from MLAs Development Fund and Rs.12 lakh from District Collector's Special Fund Allocation.
