Fuel price hike resented

VIJAYAWADA: YSR Congress Party leader Devireddy Ravindranath Reddy criticised the Government for hiking the prices of diesel, kerosene and cooking gas, saying that it was making the common man's life miserable because of rise in prices of essential commodities.

Mr. Reddy took objection to the statement of Union Petroleum Minister S. Jaipal Reddy that even after the recent increase , the Centre was sustaining revenue losses to the tune of Rs. 49,000 crore.

This was totally unfortunate on the part of the minister to give unreasonable statements after imposing an unbearable burden on the people, he added.
