OU students burn Kiran's effigy

HYDERABAD: Osmania University students on Sunday burnt the effigy of Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy protesting the State government's decision to conduct the recruitment test for the posts of sub-inspectors in the capital.

Under the aegis of Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee (OUSJAC), scores of students assembled in front of Arts College denouncing the government's decision to hold the exam even after giving assurance a few months ago that it would be conducted only after deletion of 14(f) clause in the Presidential Order.

“We will attack examination centres and tear question papers if the government fails to withdraw the decision,” OUSJAC spokesperson P. Kailash Neta said on Sunday.
