Police-public friendly match: IGP gives prizes to winners

MADURAI: Inspector General of Police (south zone) M.N. Manjunatha gave away prizes to winners of a friendly match played between the personnel of police department and public from the city.

The events included kabaddi, volleyball, track events, musical chair, lucky corner and walkathon events for persons above 50 years. The events were held for men and women teams.

Armed reserve police personnel led by ACP Ellapparaj and Inspectors Manoharan, Dhanasekaran and team conducted the events held for two days at the Armed Reserve Grounds.

Apart from individuals and members from private clubs, students from Lady Doak College and Saraswathi Pandiyan Club also bagged prizes. Deputy Commissioners of Police (Madurai city) Arivuselvam, Shahjahan, Baskaran and Senthil Kumar participated, a press note said.
