CHENNAI: Players such as R. Ashwin, Manish Pandey, Paul Valthaty and Umesh Yadav will be seen in action in the final phase of the all-India Servo-YSCA Trophy tournament to be held at various venues here from June 27. Seven away teams — BPCL (Kochi), Rail Wheel Factory and SBM (both Bangalore), SBT (Trivandrum), IOC, BPCL and Air India (all Mumbai) — and five home sides — India Cements, Chemplast ‘B', Gurunanak College, Loyola College and SRM University — will be in the fray. At a press conference, M.S. Gurumurthy of YSCA said, “The last eight teams will be divided into two groups and will play in the super league. The top two teams from each group will enter the semifinals. The super league matches will be played on June 29, 30 and July 1.” “We are very happy to be associated with the tournament. We have been supporting sport in a big way and I hope we get to see some good cricket here,” said K.N. Viswanathan, Deputy General Manager (Lubes), Indian Oil Corporation Limited. The semifinals and final will be played at Murugappa on July 2 and 3 respectively. The winning team will take home Rs. 25,000. — Principal Correspondent
