New RDO assumes charge
Namakkal: S. Kavitha took charge as the new Revenue Division Officer of Tiruchengode Revenue Division on Monday, in place of former RDO C. Thangavel.
Ms. Kavitha who belongs to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) Group-I batch of 2006-07 was first appointed as Probationary Deputy Collector from December 2009 to June 26.
She said that focus would be on overall development with specific focus on law and order and land matters.
School vehicles inspected
On Monday, the Regional Transport Officer, V. Jayagowri, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Tiruchengode) Sujatha and Tahsildar K. Chellamuthu conducted a surprise check in school vehicles on Tiruchengode to Erode Road at Pootapalli.
