Karuppu shines

Dindigul: A brilliant all-round show by G. Karuppu (97 and six for 19) helped Mansur Youngsters CC beat Seeni Bala CC by 130 runs in the TNCA-DDCA second division cricket league at PSNA College on Sunday.

The scores: First division: Sri Vasanth Sweets CC 385 for seven in 46 overs (K. Thangapandi 105 n.o., K. Deepan Babu 84, M. Mano 67, E. Jeyaprakash 36, P.M. Venkatesh 35, S. Muthukumar four for 93) bt Jahir CC 80 in 19.2 overs (L. Dhinakaran six for 36).

Second division: Mansur Youngsters CC 186 for five in 20 overs (G. Karuppu 97) bt Seeni Bala CC 56 in 12.3 overs (G. Karuppu six for 19).

Mansur Youngsters CC 103 for six in 20 overs lost to Samurai CC 104 for three in 14.2 overs (B. Karthik 51).

Fourth division: Bharath CC 115 for nine in 22 overs (S. Dhanapal 42) lost to Classic CC 116 for six in 19.2 overs (S. Velmurugan 54 n.o., S. Kapil Kannan four for 18) .
