Reshma in final

Bangalore: Unseeded Reshma Karthik entered the final of the Suresh Kumar Memorial State-ranking badminton tournament after an upset 21-19, 29-27 win over under-17 girls' top-seed Syeda Saadath Arsheen here on Monday. Facing Reshma in the final will be eighth seed Sindu Bharadwaj, who defeated Mahima Aggarwal 21-12, 21-14.

Meanwhile, boys' under-15 and under-17 top seed Daniel S. Farid entered the semifinals in both age categories. He brushed Mithun Manjunath aside 21-11, 21-11 in the first quarterfinal, but had it harder in the latter match, beating Yuvaraj Shinde 13-21, 21-14, 22-20. Also making the last four in both segments were B.R. Sankeerth and Sahil Sipani.
