Financial assistance for 15 artists

VILLUPURAM: Collector C.T. Manimekalai issued orders on Monday for giving away monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,000 each to 15 indigent artists.

At a grievance day session held here, she handed over cheques for Rs. 8,000 for four artists (for two months). She also felicitated an official in appreciation of services rendered by him during enumeration exercise and the Assembly election.

She received a total of 941 petitions on the occasion.

Cuddalore

Collector V.Amuthavalli issued identity cards to 21 ulemas, confirming their enrolment in the welfare board constituted for them, at a grievance day session held at the Collectorate on Monday. She also felicitated T. Santhi, an employee of Tamil Nadu Water and Drainage Board (circular wing), by handing over a financial incentive of Rs. 1,000 and an appreciation certificate for her drafting skills.
