LPG refill is now just an SMS away

ERODE: The Bharatgas consumers in the district could now book LPG refills by sending an SMS.

Agriculture Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan inaugurated the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited's SMS refill booking facility in Gobichettipalayam near here on Sunday. The consumers have to register their mobile numbers once to utilise the new SMS facility.

After the registration, they could send an SMS with the text LPG to 57333.

The request will then be registered and processed. The SMS refill booking facility will spare the customers from troubles in booking, the minister said.

It would also help the public sector oil major to better its services. District Revenue Officer Kumaravel Pandian, BPCL Senior Territory Manager S. Thangavel, and senior officials were present.
