Bank manager robbed of Rs. 10 lakh

CUTTACK: Four unidentified persons took away Rs. 10 lakh from a bank manager on Monday afternoon near Sukarpada under the purview of Nischintkoili police station, about 50 km from here on Cuttack-Chandbali Road.

According to the police, the miscreants at gunpoint snatched away the bag containing cash from a local UCO bank manager Bipin Behary Nayak, who was travelling to his bank after withdrawing the amount from the bank's head office located at Bajrakabati Road here in the city.

“Four youths in their late 20s came on a four-wheeler, intercepted the vehicle of the bank official and took his driver under custody after attacking him. Later, they took the vehicle to an isolated place and snatched away the cash bag from the bank manager at gunpoint,” said a local policeman quoting the FIR of Nayak.
