driving home: Police personnel taking out an awareness rally to mark International Day Against Drug Abuse in Thanjavur on Sunday.
THANJAVUR: A rally was taken out here on Sunday to create awareness of drug addiction as part of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
S.Ilambaruthi, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Narcotics wing) and S.Senthil Kumar, Regional commander, Home Guards, led the rally in which students and people took part. They carried placards against drug abuse and illicit trafficking. The rally started from railway station and ended at Sivaganga Park. Pamphlets were also distributed, said a press release issued here on Monday.
