CHENNAI: The Medical Council of India has granted clearance to the Tiruvarur and Theni Government Medical Colleges to admit 100 students each for the academic year 2011– 2012.
It has also cleared, as per the MCI website, 150 seats for Sri Muthukumaran Medical College, Chennai, affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical Varsity. Last week, when Health Minister V.S. Vijay released the rank list for MBBS admissions for this academic year, he said the State had included Theni and Tiruvarur Medical Colleges in the list of government colleges offering MBBS course.
