Scholarships distributed

COIMBATORE: Scholarships totalling Rs. 8 lakh were distributed to 52 school and college students from economically backward classes from various districts at a function held in the city on Sunday.
In 2010-2011, 300 students received scholarships worth Rs. 25 lakh. For the year 2011-2012, 52 students were provided scholarships, arranged by former West Zone Inspector General of Police P. Sivanandi . The scholarship scheme was supported by Coimbatore Public School Secretary R. Rajendran, Flow Links Private Limited Chairman Govindarajan and Krishna Sweets.
At a function held at Coimbatore Public School, Mr. Rajendran and Mr. Raghunathan Sivanandi distributed scholarships. Saraswathi Foundation Trust Managing Director Kailash, and school principal Prabha participated.
