Girl found wandering rescued
Staff Reporter
Tirupur: A 14-year-old girl found wandering in search of her mother was rescued by Tirupur South Police on Monday and sent to rehabilitation home.
Police officials said that interaction with the girl, identified as Nirosha and a native of Tiruchi district, revealed that her father, who works as a lorry driver, sent her by a bus from Tiruchi to Tirupur as her mother was employed in one of the textile units here.
But since the girl was not provided with the correct address, she could not head for the right direction except to wander aimlessly near the bus stand, officials added.
As per the girl's statement, her parents' were Periyasamy and Mala.
The officials had started searching for the girl's parents with the vague information she gave about her native hamlet in a bid to reunite her with the family.
