KHAMMAM: Permanent buildings would be constructed for as many as 21 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) at an estimated cost of Rs 26 crore in the district, Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said on Monday. Speaking after laying foundation stone for the construction of a new building for Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya at New Lakshmipuram in Mudigonda mandal, Mr Vikramarka said KGBVs established at Mudigonda, Madhira, Chintakani and Bonakal mandals in Madhira constituency will be provided new buildings soon. The initiative of the government to develop infrastructure in the KGBVs would give a fillip to the girl child education which holds the key to the development of society and the country as a whole, he said.
