Corrections and Clarifications

* * The International Page report, “Military delegation marks thaw in India-China ties” (June 26, 2011) referred to China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region sharing a border with Pakistan. Xinjiang borders the disputed Gilgit-Baltistan region, in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

* * The first sentence of the Business Page report, “IDBI Federal's Plan for seniors” (June 25, 2011) said: “IDBI Federal launched a term plan aimed at providing guaranteed cover to those above the age of 50 with premium as loan as Rs. 100 a month.” It should have been as low as.

* * The last paragraph of the Business Page report, “3 independent directors on ONGC board” (June 22, 2011), inadvertently said: “But since the company does not have a full-time Chairman and Director (Human Resources), appointment of three directors would help ONGC meet SEBI norm…” Actually, ONGC does have a Director (Human Resources). K.S. Jamestin holds the post.

* * The scoreboard of the Sports Page report, “India loses” (June 26, 2011), wrongly said that England beat India. It was correctly given in the report that India lost to New Zealand in the Natwest women's T20.

* * *
